In the September

The Parish Council decided at the beginning of this year that it would be an excellent idea to have a Gamlingay Millennium Book. The County Archivist was consulted about the type of paper and pens to provide so that this important archive would last for a long time. It is hoped that every household will write something about themselves. What is wanted is a snapshot of Gamlingay in year 2000. What were people doing, thinking, talking about, interested in? If you could put yourself in your great grandchild's place 100 years from now, what would they like to know about your lives? We are interested in anything you write provide you do not mind the information becoming public. Let us know what makes living in Gamlingay pleasurable (or otherwise) what do you get hot under the collar about? What is your job? What are your leisure pursuits? Do you play sports? The History Society is involved and will be prepared to help as will your Parish Councillors. The very expensive special paper will be available in plastic sleeves for its protection and will be at the Council Office pending a decision on distribution. If you want to be involved get in touch with the Parish Clerk at the Council Office
